About the Role:
As a Logistics Specialist, you will work under the Logistics Director and be part of the internal flow team responsible for supporting plants across Europe. Your mission is to bring technical expertise to improve warehouse operations, material handling, and internal flows, ensuring efficiency and alignment with lean manufacturing principles.
This position offers the opportunity to lead practical implementation projects, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to the company's overall supply chain transformation.
The Logistics Specialist will be responsible for:
Support plant logistics operations by providing technical expertise and guidance on best practices.
Analyze and optimize material flows within plants using tools such as value stream mapping and spaghetti diagrams.
Implement Lean methodologies to reduce waste and improve efficiency in intralogistics processes.
Develop and standardize warehouse and internal flow processes, including storage, material handling, and space utilization.
Collaborate with production, supply chain, and engineering teams to ensure seamless material availability for just-in-time manufacturing.
Drive automation initiatives and digital solutions to enhance internal logistics performance.
Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for internal flow and warehouse operations.
Identify and mitigate risks related to material flow disruptions and supply continuity.
Participate in plant transformation projects, ensuring logistics readiness and operational excellence.
Provide training and support to plant teams on logistics processes and tools.
Act as a liaison between plants and the central supply chain team to ensure alignment on standards and objectives.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging data-driven insights to optimize processes.
The Logistics Specialist should have the following qualifications:
Proven experience in logistics, intralogistics, or warehouse operations, ideally within a manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of Lean principles and process optimization techniques.
Familiarity with automation technologies and digital logistics tools is a plus.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Fluent in English; additional European languages (German, French, Polish, Czech, Slovak) are an advantage.
