With multiple concepts and locations under management, we need a Controller who can help build the financial systems, processes, and reporting that will support us as we scale.Role OverviewWe are seeking a Controller to oversee accounting and financial operations across our restaurant group. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, implementing strong controls, and supporting decision-making with timely analysis. You’ll work closely with the leadership team to manage budgets, streamline processes, and provide insights that improve profitability.This is a hands-on position where you’ll both manage the numbers day-to-day and help design the systems that will carry the company forward.What You’ll DoOversee all accounting operations, including A/P, A/R, payroll, and general ledgerPrepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statementsManage cash flow, budgets, and forecasts to support company growthEnsure compliance with tax filings, audits, and regulatory requirementsImplement and improve accounting systems, policies, and proceduresPartner with operations leadership to track restaurant performance and profitabilityProvide detailed financial analysis and reporting to guide business decisionsWhat We’re Looking ForCareful attention to detail and accuracy in financial workStrong organizational skills and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environmentA proactive mindset—able to spot issues early and propose solutionsClear communicator, both written and spokenStrong knowledge of accounting systems (QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar)Proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets for financial modeling and reportingCollaborative approach to working with operations and leadership teamsMinimum QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fieldValid registration with the CRC (Conselho Regional de Contabilidade) in Brazil (Contador habilitado)At least 5–7 years of professional experience in accounting/finance, ideally including restaurant, hospitality, or retail sector experienceStrong knowledge of full-cycle accounting, financial reporting, and internal controlsExperience with U.S. GAAP or IFRS reporting standardsAdvanced proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets for financial modeling and reportingStrong English communication skills (written and spoken)PreferredU.S. CPA license or progress toward CPA certificationExperience working with U.S.-based companies, subsidiaries, or international operationsSoftware ExperienceMicrosoft Office: must haveQuickbooks Online: Strong preferenceToast: Nice to haveGrowth PotentialThis role offers the opportunity to help shape the financial foundation of a growing restaurant group.
