Founding Product Designer
We are seeking an experienced Founding Product Designer to join our team in a high-impact role. As a key member of our founding team, you will be responsible for shaping the product experience from concept to prototype.
This is a unique opportunity to influence product design, workflow logic, and overall mission from day one. You will work closely with our client's founders to build an interactive prototype that sets the direction for future development.
You'll collaborate directly with clinicians to understand their workflow, pain points, and goals. You'll translate early concepts and requirements into user flows, wireframes, and high-fidelity interactive prototypes.
This role requires a strong portfolio of interactive web/mobile prototypes, proficiency with advanced prototyping tools (Figma, Adobe XD, Origami, etc.), and excellent collaboration and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with clinicians to understand their workflow, pain points, and goals
* Translate early concepts and requirements into user flows, wireframes, and high-fidelity interactive prototypes
* Lead clinicians through the end-to-end product design process – from research through prototyping
* Iterate designs based on feedback from medical professionals and internal stakeholders
* Build the design foundation for future product development, including design systems and component libraries
* Communicate design rationale clearly to both non-technical clinicians and technical teams
Requirements:
* Based in Brazil (CNPJ required) and advanced/fluent in English
* 5+ years of experience in UX/UI or product design
* Demonstrated ability to translate abstract or clinical problems into elegant design solutions
* Proficiency with advanced prototyping tools (Figma, Adobe XD, Origami, etc.)
* Excellent collaboration and communication skills, especially with non-technical stakeholders
* Strong ownership mentality – you'll be the only designer and an early voice in product direction
Bonus Points For:
* Having Engineering experience developing SaaS applications
* Having engineering/product leadership experience
* Knowledge of design for communication tools or messaging apps
* Experience working with healthcare-related platforms
* Experience working with early-stage startups
* Familiarity with US-based HIPAA regulations and health tech security standards
* Ability to support adjacent startup functions such as: Cloud infrastructure setup (e.g., AWS, GCP), DevOps and CI/CD pipelines, Basic QA/testing processes, Early-stage engineering contributions, Product Operations (Founding Agile environments, JIRA implementation)
