Condition Monitoring (CMS) Project Engineer, Wind TurbineJoin to apply for the Condition Monitoring (CMS) Project Engineer, Wind Turbine role at UL Solutions.About the RoleAs Condition Monitoring System (CMS) Project Engineer, you will be the referent & expert in vibration analytics for the Asset Advisory service lines.
You will contribute to pioneering a new engineering unit within the asset advisory service line, collaborating with different units to provide diverse services.ResponsibilitiesPerform vibration data analysis from online CMS customers' platforms.Support SCADA data analytics with the OEYA & PA team.Provide health assessments of key wind turbine components by merging SCADA & CMS analytics to predict failures or damages.Train field experts in vibration measurement techniques.Gather offline vibration data for analysis.Develop AI software platforms for predictive maintenance.Conduct wind operational energy yield assessments, including report reviews and data analysis.Perform detailed wind farm performance analysis and generate GIS maps for operational assessments.Handle additional duties related to energy yield and performance analysis, including third-party reviews and recalculations.QualificationsEngineering diploma in mechanics, electromechanics, or related fields.Minimum of 3 years' experience in remote condition/vibration monitoring of wind turbines.VCAT-II Vibration Analysis Category II certification.Experience as a CMS engineer for wind turbine manufacturers, CMS service providers, or asset managers.Proficiency with CMS software (e.g., BKV, Bachmann, Bently Nevada, SKF, ACOEM, AQ-Tech).Understanding of drivetrain failure modes and root cause analysis.Experience with data analysis tools and scripting (Python).About UsUL Solutions is a global leader in safety science, transforming safety, security, and sustainability challenges into opportunities.
