The Business Developer will engage and develop new corporate clients throughout Argentina and Chile. This position will focus on selling electricity and gas procurement consulting services to industries, data centers, and buildings in need of professional support to manage energy costs. This effort will involve identifying, pursuing, qualifying, and closing potential clients.
Your Responsibilities
* Identify prospects that match the profile of Schneider Electric's Sustainability Business and work as a true hunter, with a proven ability to generate and follow up on leads by contacting prospects and creating interest in Schneider's offerings;
* Communicate and interact with business decision makers at all levels to identify needs and requirements;
* Lead and move prospects through the sales cycle, negotiating and closing sales that vary in contract length and fee range;
* Implement best practices as recommended by the manager and share knowledge with colleagues.
Qualifications
About You
* Passion for the energy sector
* Preference for Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Climate Change, Corporate Sustainability, Energy, Economics, Business, Engineering, or a related technical field;
* Proven experience in selling to electrical industry and sustainability enterprises;
* Experience in energy markets, procurement strategy, and contract execution in renewables is preferred;
* Successful track record in consultative sales, including lead generation, follow-up, moving prospects through the sales cycle, and negotiating agreements;
* Experience with complex sales cycles (lasting 6 months or longer) and selling at high management levels (C-Level);
* Some travel required (approximately 50%).
