Job Title: Product Lifecycle Management Technical Specialist
This role involves serving as a technical expert in the areas of infrastructure related to manufacturing information systems. As a PLM Engineer, you will be responsible for identifying methods and architecting solutions to provide high levels of service to end-users of the application(s). You will also help build out, maintain, and troubleshoot rapidly expanding application systems and their infrastructure.
Main Responsibilities:
* Maintaining, optimizing, troubleshooting, upgrading, installing, and documenting infrastructure related to Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems, including PLM database management, project management systems, CAD, and PDM systems.
* Administering new and existing technologies, including design, documentation, installation, configuration, maintenance, integration, and testing related systems.
* Leading collaborative efforts with business customers on hardware, middleware, and application requirements.
* Working with vendors, engineers, analysts, and leadership to ensure the integrity of databases, application software, and data.
* Performing regular system monitoring, verifying system health, availability, and integrity, reviewing application logs, and ensuring completion of scheduled jobs.
* Leading problem-solving efforts regarding system and service matters and facilitating support with outside personnel, organizations, and/or vendors.
* Staying up-to-date with tech industry trends and bringing new ideas and innovative solutions.
* Developing new deliverables as needed based on operational requirements and following best practices for documentation and delivery.
* Analyzing data to drive decision-making and recommendations.
* Configuring and deploying devices and peripherals as necessary.
* Resolving issues, problems, and questions assigned from a ticketing system.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or a similar discipline, and/or equivalent related work experience.
* Preferred: PLM Certification.
* Hands-on experience with ARAS (PLM tool) and SolidWorks (CAD system).
* Minimum 4+ years of hands-on experience in a factory or enterprise setting.
* Minimum 2+ years of hands-on experience with PLM.
* Technical expertise with PLM systems such as CAD, PDM, ERP, PMO.
* Excellent communication skills, including the ability to explain and present technical information.
* Ability to effectively train and advise users on information technology issues.
* Preparation of clear and concise written documentation.
* Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, flexible environment and take the initiative to learn new tools and concepts quickly.
* Creative thinking, strong analytical, multitasking, and interpersonal skills.
* Approachable and adaptable nature.
* Ability to work extended-hours or outside of normal business hours including weekends as needed.
* Skills in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
* Working-level knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing, and speaking English.
