The Director of Development is the primary contact with the hotel management community in LATAM. It is responsible for the future development and growth of the hotel brands. This position requires an understanding of the hotel development process, knowledge of hotel markets, and an ability to develop relationships and convince developers that Collective Hospitality products are well-suited for the location and market. The Developer is the primary lead for the management group through the application, approval negotiation, and execution of the management agreements.Key ResponsibilitiesUnderstanding of the hotel industry and franchise developmentAnalysis and evaluation of hotel markets to determine the potential growth opportunities for Collective Hospitality brands including new build and conversion opportunitiesDesire to travel extensively (75%) and engage with new and existing owners and franchiseesRepresent Collective Hospitality at key industry events, conferences, and tradeshowsQualificationsExperience Required:5+ years of hotel franchise sales and development, hotel feasibility, hotel financial analysis, or other sales-related experienceEstablished relationships with owners, operators, consultants, management companies, lenders, builders, etc.Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding goals/quotas and driving business resultsStrong negotiation and influencing skillsExcellent communication and presentation skillsExcellent interpersonal skills and demeanorAbility to multi-task and handle multiple relationships and deals at all timesExperience Preferred:Familiarity with the hotel markets in LATAMA working knowledge of franchise agreements would be a plusDemonstrated ability to work across the organization and be the liaison between development and the franchise groups is criticalThe position responsibilities outlined above are in no way to be construed as all-encompassing.
