Product Development Engineer
This is a hands-on build role, perfect for an engineer with strong product instincts and experience delivering consumer-facing or AdTech-driven discovery systems.
* Build and evolve a creator discovery solution end-to-end using Node.js and React.
* Owning product features from concept → prototype → implementation → iteration.
* Collaborate closely with product managers, data teams, and internal partners to define requirements.
* Rapidly test, validate, and iterate on user workflows and ranking experiences.
Key Responsibilities
Product Engineering and Feature Ownership
* Developing and evolving a creator discovery solution end-to-end using Node.js and React.
* Owning product features from concept through to delivery.
* Closely working with product managers, data scientists, and internal partners to define requirements.
* Rapidly testing, validating, and iterating on user workflows and ranking experiences.
API and Platform Integrations
* Integrating with social-platform APIs (e.g., YouTube Data API, Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest).
* Developing services to ingest, enrich, and structure creator data (categories, topics, UGC signals, relevance scoring).
* Optimising ingestion and discovery pipelines for performance and scale.
AdTech and Recommendation Work
* Building components that support advertising partners, sponsorship matching, and creator-brand fit.
* Implementing logic for topic/category classification, recommendation ranking, and metadata structuring.
* Working on internal tools and white-label solutions used by cross-functional teams.
Backend and Frontend Engineering
* Building scalable backend services in Node.js (REST, GraphQL, event-driven services).
* Developing polished UIs in React, ensuring high usability and clarity for internal teams.
* Ensuring strong code quality, automated testing, and reliable CI/CD.
Collaboration and Delivery
* Partnering closely with engineering leads, PMs, data scientists, and marketing/AdTech teams.
* Operating in a rapid, iterative environment with short feedback loops.
* Participating in architectural decisions and contributing to long-term platform direction.
* Supporting a healthy engineering culture focused on velocity, clarity, and product impact.
