Job Responsibilities:
* Lead the daily review and analysis of official communications from Bacen, (Presenta reports), to identify and assess potential relationships between Clara and entities subject to asset-freezing orders.
* Manage and coordinate responses to communications received via the Bacen's Siscom system, engaging relevant internal stakeholders to collect required information and ensure timely, accurate submissions.
* Oversee and ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and applicable Bacen standards.
* Evaluate and approve high-risk clients from a compliance and regulatory standpoint, ensuring alignment with AML and KYC frameworks.
* Provide ongoing support and strategic guidance to all Brazilian teams, including Fraud, Customer Support, Sales, Product, and Risk, on regulatory, AML, and compliance-related matters.
* Actively participate in the Global Risk Committee, monitoring Brazil-related cases and exercising veto power when necessary to safeguard regulatory integrity.
* Monitor and interpret regulatory changes, communicating relevant updates and impacts to internal stakeholders and leadership teams.
* Identify, assess, and formalize institutional risks, ensuring appropriate documentation and mitigation measures are in place.
* Coordinate internal audit processes and ensure adherence to governance and regulatory expectations.
* Prepare and submit mandatory reports as required by the Bacen, including annual and semiannual filings.
* Approve, design, and oversee Clara's KYC and due diligence policies and procedures.
* Monitor, investigate, and report suspicious transactions to COAF in accordance with AML regulations, and keep our internal rules updated.
* Conduct regulatory and compliance reviews of potential new products and business initiatives to ensure adherence to applicable laws and standards.
* Provide regulatory and compliance support in the structuring of securitization and FIDC operations, ensuring alignment with local legal requirements.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
* Strong relationship management skills, with the ability to maintain effective engagement with key stakeholders in Brazil and within global teams.
* Understanding of compliance and AML regulations, including applicable Central Bank frameworks and resolutions.
* Solid knowledge of mandatory internal policies and governance requirements.
* Familiarity with mandatory regulatory reports and relevant legal obligations.
* Working knowledge of Central Bank systems and communication platforms (e.g., Siscom).
* In-depth understanding of Clara's internal processes, systems, and operational flows.
