Job Summary
This role is for a Senior Application Support Engineer who will provide technical direction and guidance to support complex application needs. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, experience in various App/Networking Monitoring Tools, and proficiency in programming/scripting languages.
About the Job
* This is a fully remote position working East Coast hours with a CLT hiring model.
* The successful candidate will liaise between IT and business stakeholders to ensure client satisfaction with complex IT design and development of efficient business systems.
Main Responsibilities
* Participate in architectural discussions and evaluate the applicability and usefulness of proposed solutions.
* Support and implement solutions across the organization and with clients.
* Perform technical analysis and prepare recommendations as needed.
* Act as the key liaison across all functional areas, including business units, the information technology department, and outside vendors.
* Collaborate with operations teams to ensure solution compatibility with company standards.
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in a related discipline or equivalent work experience required.
* 5+ years of related Production support experience required, experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.
* Strong analytical, troubleshooting skills, and incident management skills.
* Ability to prioritize tasks accordingly depending on demands from businesses and app/dev teams.
Desirable Skills
* Advanced proficiency in DevOps, Agile, & Lean is a plus.
* Business knowledge of Securities, Fund Accounting, Collateral, and Tri-Party Repo preferred but not a must.
* Experience in Platform Engineering, Cloud, Virtual, MQ, Database, Network, ITIL, Service Management preferred.
