Podcast Producer
We are seeking an accomplished Podcast Producer to spearhead the full production workflow of our weekly interview podcast, Sofia Unfiltered. The successful candidate will oversee guest communication, scheduling, episode preparation, editorial coordination, and project management from pre-production through publishing.
1. Guest Communication & Outreach
* The ideal candidate will manage all communication with guests from initial outreach to post-episode follow-up, ensuring seamless collaboration and a positive guest experience.
* They will schedule interviews, send confirmations/reminders, and provide prep materials in a timely and organized manner.
* A key aspect of this role is collecting bios, headshots, books, links, and required release forms for each guest, maintaining accurate records and staying up-to-date on new information.
* The selected candidate will draft personalized guest outreach emails and pitches in alignment with upcoming content themes, showcasing their ability to think creatively and strategically.
* Maintaining a pipeline of potential guests, schedules, and assets in Notion/Google Drive will be essential for streamlining operations and ensuring efficient communication.
2. Episode Planning & Production
* This position requires preparing clear and concise episode briefs and host prep sheets, as well as attending live recordings (optional but preferred) to track timestamps and notes for future reference.
* The chosen candidate will review raw audio/video and provide detailed edit notes to the editor, ensuring high-quality output and attention to detail.
* In some cases, the Podcast Producer may need to restructure episodes for clarity, flow, and narrative arc, utilizing their expertise and creative vision to enhance the listening experience.
* Collaboration with other team members will be crucial in determining episode titles, angles, hooks, and story direction, requiring strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* The selected candidate will also choose main promotional clips and quotes for social content, further amplifying the podcast's reach and engagement.
3. Editing Coordination
* Sending clear, accurate, and time-stamped cut notes to the editor will be vital for ensuring smooth editing processes and meeting deadlines.
