International Trade Specialist
The International Trade Specialist will be responsible for conducting thorough research and monitoring global trade regulations, primarily across LATAM and North America. They will serve as the primary point of contact for new legal and regulatory changes and collaborate closely with Business Analysts and ERP/GTS specialists.
* Continuously monitor and maintain awareness of legislative and regulatory updates in assigned countries using government websites, agencies, third-party sources, and in-country experts.
* Track and analyze global trade compliance regulations, including customs duties, export controls, sanctions, tariff updates, and other relevant requirements across jurisdictions (U.S., Canada, LATAM, etc.).
* Accurately interpret, analyze, and document new or amended legislation in an internal repository.
* Prepare comparative analyses of regulatory changes when required.
* Ensure research and documentation meet ISO process standards.
SAP GTS Alignment
The specialist will conduct research and provide insights relevant to SAP GTS, supporting product specialists on topics such as:
* Export Control & Licensing
* Import Control & Market Access
* Sanctions & Restricted Party Compliance
* Customs & Tariff Management
* Trade Agreements & Origin Management
* Regulatory Reporting & Declarations
* Product & Classification Compliance
Collaboration & Documentation
* Deliver clear summaries and detailed regulatory insights needed by ERP and product specialists to implement system changes for clients.
* Collaborate with Business Analysts and fellow researchers to validate findings and maintain consistency.
* Support research expansion into Indirect Tax topics (VAT, GST, country-specific filing requirements) where applicable.
