We're seeking a skilled Community Manager to lead our online communities and help users protect their personal data. Our team is dedicated to creating a safe and engaging environment for everyone.
Why Lead Our Communities?
* Make a Real Difference: As a Community Manager, you'll be responsible for leading daily interactions on various platforms, including Reddit, X, and Discord. You'll start conversations, reply thoughtfully, maintain guidelines, and nurture a welcoming environment.
* Community Leadership: You'll organize recurring events such as AMAs, Q&As, user features, and community challenges to boost engagement and community spirit.
* Engagement Initiatives: Identify user sentiment trends, gather feedback, and proactively share actionable insights with Product, Support, and Marketing teams.
* Moderation & Empathy: Uphold community standards by moderating conversations, removing spam, managing conflict, and resolving situations with empathy.
* Metrics & Growth: Track community health metrics (active users, retention, engagement) and suggest strategic improvements.
* Platform Expertise: Fully leverage moderation tools, bots, roles, and automations within Reddit and Discord to enhance user experience.
Your Role as a Community Leader
You'll be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with our community members. Your goal will be to create a positive and inclusive environment that encourages active participation and fosters a sense of belonging.
Requirements and Qualifications
1. Must-Have:
* At least 1–2 years of experience managing or moderating active communities (Reddit, Discord, X, or forums).
* Strong writing and communication skills to engage and nurture active, text-based communities.
* In-depth knowledge of Reddit and Discord moderation tools, bots, and features.
* Empathy, diplomacy, and the ability to foster trust in a community environment.
* Organized, proactive, and comfortable working remotely with a startup mindset.
* Fluent in English (written & spoken).
2. Nice-to-Have:
* Experience managing virtual community events (AMAs, webinars, etc.).
* Background in journalism, digital communication, or privacy-related fields.
* Familiarity with platforms such as Telegram, Slack, or Facebook Groups.
* Proven ability in creating engaging community content (guides, FAQs, spotlights).
* Previous experience in startups or tech-oriented communities.
