As a creative professional in video editing, you will craft compelling short-form ads that convert viewers into customers. You will work across various products and marketing channels simultaneously, utilizing your expertise in direct response mechanics to create engaging content.
* Develop attention-grabbing hooks that pause viewers within the first few seconds (pattern interrupts, bold claims)
* Integrate engagement-disrupting elements: kinetic typography, callout graphics, progress bars
* Optimize pacing for social media algorithms (9:16 aspect ratio, YouTube Shorts)
* Test visual approaches based on performance data
You will collaborate with our Creative Strategist to test new concepts weekly, expecting rapid feedback cycles and the need to adapt based on real-time campaign results. Speed and quality are key to success in this role.
The ideal candidate should possess:
* Strong English language proficiency (a requirement)
* At least 2 years of experience editing for direct-to-consumer brands (beauty, health, or supplements preferred)
* A portfolio showcasing successful direct response ads that drove conversions
* Expert-level proficiency in Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve, along with After Effects
* Deep understanding of social media advertising specifications and algorithm-friendly editing patterns
* Natural ability to create authentic, relatable content versus polished brand messaging
* Proven ability to produce high-quality ads at a rate of 8-12 per week
* Capacity to think critically and recommend innovative approaches, ad formats, and tools
