**Job Overview**
We are seeking an experienced Windows Systems Engineer to join our IT operations team during the overnight shift. This role requires hands-on expertise in managing Windows environments, troubleshooting system and network issues, and administering core Microsoft infrastructure services.
Key Responsibilities:
* Administer Active Directory, including user and group management, OU structure, and permissions.
* Configure, manage, and troubleshoot Windows-based services such as DNS, DHCP, DFS, and Group Policy Objects (GPOs).
* Analyze and resolve issues related to authentication and system performance.
* Determine and fix connectivity problems within a Windows environment.
* Collaborate with other IT teams to escalate and resolve complex technical issues as needed.
* Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations and operational procedures.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Proven experience in Windows system administration.
* Strong knowledge of Active Directory and associated services.
* Proficiency in managing DNS, DHCP, DFS, and GPOs.
* Effective troubleshooting skills for authentication and performance issues in Windows environments.
* Familiarity with TCP/IP networking, VLANs, and IP subnetting.
* Able to work independently during overnight hours with minimal supervision.
* Good communication skills and a proactive attitude.
Preferred Qualifications (not required but a plus):
* Microsoft certifications (e.g., MCSA, MSCE).
* Experience with remote desktop support tools.
* Familiarity with scripting and automation (PowerShell is a plus).
