Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Science Liaison to join our team in the field of dermatology. The successful candidate will be responsible for building relationships with stakeholders, facilitating clinical trial activities, and generating insights to inform strategy and improve patient outcomes.
About This Role
This role requires a professional with a strong background in dermatology or rheumatology, extensive experience supporting clinical trials, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of supporting clinical trial enrollment, patient identification, and site engagement, as well as experience generating insights and developing frameworks to address complex challenges in clinical trial operations.
Main Responsibilities
* Clinical Trial Support: Collaborate with clinical trial teams to support trial enrollment efforts, including identifying suitable patients and optimizing recruitment strategies.
* Engage with Clinical Trial Sites and Investigators: Engage with clinical trial sites and investigators to ensure smooth trial operations and alignment with study objectives.
* Provide Education and Training: Provide education and training to clinical sites on study protocols and therapeutic areas.
Clinical Insights Generation and Framework Development
* Gather Insights: Gather and synthesize insights from healthcare professionals (HCPs), patients, and other stakeholders to identify referral patterns, challenges, and opportunities for trial enrollment.
* Develop Frameworks: Develop frameworks to streamline patient identification and referral pathways.
Stakeholder Engagement
* Build Relationships: Build and maintain relationships with HCPs, clinical trial investigators, and other key opinion leaders (KOLs) in dermatology.
* Liaise Between Stakeholders: Act as a liaison between clinical sites, investigators, and internal teams to ensure effective communication and support.
Cross-Border Collaboration
* Work Across National Borders: Work across national borders to address global clinical trial needs and ensure compliance with international regulations and cultural nuances.
* Collaborate with Global Teams: Collaborate with global teams to align on strategies and share best practices.
Travel Requirements
* Extensive Travel Required: Travel extensively to meet with stakeholders, support trial sites, and attend relevant conferences and events.
Qualifications and Experience
* Minimum 3 Years of Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Medical Science Liaison or in a similar role.
* Dermatology Background: Strong background in dermatology or rheumatology, with experience engaging with dermatologist-focused clinical trial sites and investigators.
* Proven Track Record: Proven track record of supporting clinical trial enrollment, patient identification, and site engagement.
* Insight Generation Experience: Experience generating insights and developing frameworks to address complex challenges in clinical trial operations.
* Patient Referral Patterns: Demonstrated ability to identify patient referral patterns and address barriers to patient participation.
* International Experience: Willingness to travel extensively, including international travel.
* Global Teamwork: Experience working in cross-border settings and collaborating with global teams.
* Strong Communication Skills: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
* Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to work independently.
Preferred Qualifications
* Advanced Degree: Advanced degree (e.g., PharmD, PhD, MD) in a relevant field is highly desirable.
* Experience in Dermatology: Experience with insight generation in the context of dermatology or rheumatology clinical trials.
* Regulatory Knowledge: Knowledge of global regulatory environments and best practices in clinical trial management.
