Complete Bachelor’s Degree - Experience in direct management, including a salaried workforce, in a manufacturing, production or distribution environment - Experience with performance metrics and process improvement and Lean techniques - Availability to work in shifts

Sort Center Operations Manager is responsible for managing a team and facilitating flow of information across multiple stakeholders to resolve any potential issues that impact customer experience. In this role, you will lead, develop and engage your team during your shift to maintain the highest levels of safety, quality, attendance, and performance. To achieve this, managers are expected to provide their team with the tools needed for success while driving improvements in productivity and efficiency through data-driven decisions and analytical problem-solving. You will also play a key role in maintaining our customer expectations to ensure customer orders are delivered at the right time, to the right location.

Key job responsibilities
- Work with large data sets and own operations metrics and communicate them during daily/weekly review meetings
- Maintain high standards of operations Health & Safety
- You’ll need to monitor the delivery metrics and performance of more than 100 Associates
- Coach and provide guidance to the Area managers to challenge the status quo and drive the culture of continuous improvement to reduce waste in conjunction with central ACES team.
- Ensure the flow, headcount and performance of department is meeting plan, communicate the plan to Site Leader
- Ensure process & Area Organization adherence, floor hygiene and Area Readiness is as per standard at Site level
- Oversee the Start of Shift, Flow and End of Shift meetings
- Lead the implementation of new processes and improvements - including benchmarking process standards.
- Weekly operational planning including Manager rosters, volume delivery, Information Technology (IT), MHE (Material Handling Equipment) Preventive Maintenance (PM) and breakdown reviews.
- Coordinate with support functions for all change management/Site improvement initiatives.
- Manager Engagement: Conduct monthly 1:1’s with Direct reports.
- Review / lead Audits conducted in the Site including process Audits (Benchmarking Standards and Audit Toolkit (SAT) Audit, etc), safety Audits, etc.

- Degree in Engineering, Operations or related field - Experience with a contingent workforce during peak seasons - Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma and Kaizen methodologies would be highly advantageous.
