Podcast Audio Editor Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for editing podcast audio files, enhancing sound quality, implementing sound design, adding music, and ensuring overall quality control for each episode.
* Edit raw podcast audio into polished, broadcast-ready episodes
* Remove filler words, false starts, redundancies, and off-topic tangents
* Improve pacing, clarity, and flow without changing the speaker's voice or intent
* Restructure sections when needed based on how questions were answered
* Insert intro/outro, sponsor reads, disclaimers, or updates when required
* Follow embedded audio notes and written instructions carefully
* Deliver clean final WAV/MP3 files on deadline
* Produce 3–4 short clips per episode for marketing use
* Support up to two rounds of edits per episode when requested
As a skilled audio editor, you will be expected to enhance the sound quality of our podcast episodes. This includes implementing sound design, adding music, and ensuring overall quality control. You will be responsible for editing raw podcast audio into polished, broadcast-ready episodes.
Key skills and qualifications:
* Experience with audio editing software such as Adobe Audition or Pro Tools
* Strong understanding of sound design principles and techniques
* Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills
