The Opportunity
You will work as an R&D Electrical Engineer, contributing to the development of technologies and tools for transformers, as part of a global innovation team.
How You Will Make an Impact
* Propose and develop new technologies, products, and processes for both core and shell-type transformers.
* Lead and manage R&D projects independently, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and with the required quality.
* Maintain and develop technical standards and design tools for transformers.
* Perform electrical design and supervise the manufacturing and testing of prototypes.
* Share knowledge and findings through reports, specifications, and participation in educational programs.
* Evaluate production processes and proactively identify improvement opportunities.
* Support factories in troubleshooting within your area of expertise.
* Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, proposing partnerships and innovative solutions.
* Responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable internal and external standards, procedures, and guidelines.
Requirements
* Degree in Electrical Engineering; a Master’s or PhD is a plus.
* Previous experience in electrical engineering, either in the transformer industry or academia.
* Knowledge of advanced numerical simulations (e.g., magnetic or dielectric).
* Proficiency in commercial simulation tools (e.g., Ansys, Simcenter).
* Ability to develop custom technical solutions.
* Strong teamwork skills in international environments and excellent interpersonal abilities.
* Innovative mindset, proactive attitude, and problem-solving orientation.
* Fluency in English and Spanish, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
