About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer who wants to learn and transform their career by leveraging their technical expertise in data engineering, AWS Serverless architecture, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
* Design and implement efficient data pipelines and data integration processes using AWS services such as S3, Athena, Redshift, or DynamoDB, ensuring seamless data transfer from various sources into the data lake;
* Develop robust data transformation and enrichment processes using AWS Lambda, Glue, or similar serverless technologies to ensure data quality and consistency;
* Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand their requirements and design appropriate data models and schemas in the data lake;
* Optimize data storage and retrieval mechanisms to provide high-performance access to the data;
* Monitor and troubleshoot the data lake infrastructure to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, data processing errors, and other issues;
* Continuously evaluate new AWS services and technologies to enhance the data lake architecture, improve data processing efficiency, and drive innovation;
* Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior data engineers to foster their growth and ensure adherence to best practices;
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements, prioritize tasks, and deliver high-quality solutions within defined timelines.
Key Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
* Hands-on experience with AWS Serverless architecture, including AWS Lambda, Glue, and API Gateway;
* Strong understanding of data engineering principles, including data ingestion, transformation, and storage;
* Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams;
* Experience with data visualization tools and techniques;
* Knowledge of security best practices and compliance regulations related to data processing and storage.
