IT Infrastructure Professional
We are seeking a skilled IT professional to join our team. As a senior member of our IT department, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our IT infrastructure, ensuring the reliability, security, and scalability of our systems.
The ideal candidate will have expertise in End User support, IT Operations, and Networking, with several years of proven experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining IT infrastructure.
* Key Responsibilities:
* Deploy, configure, and manage server infrastructure, including physical and virtual servers, storage systems, and backup solutions
* Collaborate with IT teams to ensure effective planning, implementation, and maintenance of server infrastructure to meet business requirements
* Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize server infrastructure for performance and scalability
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth IT operations, including user support, system maintenance, and software deployments
* Develop and maintain documentation, including system configurations, standard operating procedures, and infrastructure diagrams
* Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements in the design and operation of infrastructure systems
* Evaluate and recommend new technologies, tools, and processes to improve infrastructure efficiency and reliability
* Participate in disaster recovery planning, including backup strategies, data replication, and failover procedures
* Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices related to infrastructure engineering and networking
Requirements:
* Completed degree in Computer Science or training as an IT Specialist or comparable qualification
* Several years proven experience with End User Support, IT infrastructure administration, server infrastructure, IT operations, and networking
* Strong knowledge of Microsoft tools
* Experience in SharePoint, Jira and Confluence tools, operational, migrations, backups
* Proficiency in networking concepts, protocols, and technologies (e.g., TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching, firewalls)
* Familiarity with IT operations management tools and practices, such as monitoring, incident management, and change management
* Solid understanding of security principles and best practices in infrastructure design and operations
* Knowledge of cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure) is desirable
