As a Patent Paralegal Project Manager, you will play a critical role in overseeing and managing patent filing requests.
You will work closely with clients, translators, and internal teams to ensure that all requests are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest standards.
Your role will involve coordinating various aspects of patent filings, including budgeting, scheduling, docketing, document submission, and quality assurance.
This position is full-time and remote, requiring candidates to work Monday - Friday 9:00am - 5:30pm PST in Pacific Standard Time (United States time zone).
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare all documents required for EP, PCT, and foreign applications.
* Initiate the preparation of responses to official communications and notifications.
* Coordinate filings of EP/international and foreign patent applications and related correspondence from filing to issuance of grant.
* Monitor assigned cases and ensure timely completion of related deadlines.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
* 1-2 years of experience as a patent paralegal in a law firm or corporate setting.
* Experience working with EP, PCT, and foreign applications.
* Strong organizational, leadership, and management abilities.
* SIGNIFICANT experience managing complex projects.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Successful track record of collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience implementing translation tools into existing workflows.
* Comfort working with CAT tools (memoQ fluency a plus) and various Machine Translation engines.
* Ability to define processes and standards for translation and quality assurance.
* Skilled at training internal and external users in MTPE & TM workflows.
* Skilled at vendor recruitment and negotiations.
