We are now looking for a Fishmate to work on board our vessels in Antarctica.
Job Purpose
The Fishmate is responsible for all fishing operations during their shift. The workspace is on the bridge, with 12-hour shifts. If requested, the Fishmate must assist on deck.
Responsibilities During Operation
* Responsible for fishing operations while on duty.
* In command of deck crew during deck operations related to fishery.
* Assist in reporting as required by the Captain and support the 1st officer with radio equipment.
Safety Responsibilities
* Familiar with duties according to the "station bill" and muster lists for life rafts.
* Ensure all safety measures are taken during on-deck operations.
* Wear safety equipment as required.
* Ensure all crew wear safety equipment during operations.
* Comply with the company's HSE MS system, national and international rules, and other safety precautions.
* Participate in drills such as MEDEVAC, oil pollution, firefighting, MOB, and abandon ship drills.
* Actively participate in HSE meetings, programs, and event reporting.
Other Tasks
* Perform tasks as requested by the Captain and Chief Officer.
* Learn to use ERP systems as required.

* COC Deck Officer
* Medical certificate
* STCW safety course

* 12/7 shift schedule: 12 hours on, 12 hours off, 7 days a week, approximately 150 sea days per year and about 120-135 days off between trips. Travel to and from fishing grounds involves about one week each way, using ports in Uruguay, Chile, and the Falkland Islands.
