Urban and Regional Development Expert
About the Role
This is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic team as an Urban and Regional Development Expert. In this role, you will be responsible for leading various projects focused on urban and regional development.
Key Responsibilities:
* Leverage your expertise in regional and urban development, urban buildings and social infrastructure, economic development, and disaster risk management to drive project success.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement sustainable urban planning strategies.
* Conduct feasibility studies and provide recommendations for urban development projects.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A minimum of 10 years of professional experience in urban and regional development, urban buildings and social infrastructure, economic development, and disaster risk management.
* Experience working with EU, EIB, WB, etc., financed projects.
* A Master's or Bachelor's degree relevant to the topic.
* Excellent command of English (CEFR C1).

* All stages of the DRM-cycle (prevention, preparedness, response, and recovery) in relation to natural and man-made disasters.

* Projects and programs for social and affordable housing construction and renovation.
* Development and application of social and affordable housing finance approaches and instruments.
* Application of energy efficiency/circular economy/nature-based solution approaches in the housing context.
* Analysis of regulatory and policy issues in countries lacking robust social and affordable housing frameworks.
Location
The work location is flexible, allowing for remote work options in addition to NTU's office in Aalborg.
