Our team in Brazil is growing, we are currently recruiting for a Junior Electrical Designer to join our Minerals and Metals Business line in the Belo Horizonte office.
About the role
Work on engineering projects during the conceptual, basic and detailed phases in the discipline of electrical design.
Design electrical room layouts, including equipment sizing and arrangement.
Develop grounding and lightning‑protection systems.
Design power‑distribution and control systems, including conduit and cable‑tray sizing and basic cable routing.
Prepare cable schedules for installation and detailed cable‑cutting plans.
Compile material take‑off lists to support assembly and procurement.
Develop typical installation details for grounding, lightning protection, lighting, power, control and instrumentation systems.
Design overhead power‑distribution networks and instrument‑installation frameworks.
Interface with other disciplines (civil/structural, mechanical, instrumentation & control) to ensure seamless system integration.
Analyze vendor drawings and provide technical support for on‑site implementation.
About you
Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit and Dialux.
Experienced with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Comfortable keeping up with technological innovations and emerging trends in the energy sector.
Skilled in integrating renewable energy sources and modernizing electrical infrastructure.
Able to adapt to dynamic environments requiring continuous learning and innovative problem solving.
