Overview
Louis Dreyfus Company (LDC), established in 1851, is a leading global merchant and processor of agricultural goods with more than 22 000 employees worldwide. LDC opened a Center of Excellence (CoE) for Finance, IT and HR based in Lyon to support Finance Transformation, Digitalization, and adoption of best practices and tools.
The FPSO (Finance Processes Systems and Organization) team coordinates global Finance initiatives and reports directly to the Group CFO. The aim is to lead the Finance Transformation of the group, digitalize processes and organizations, and promote finance best practices and tools across LDC.
As of 2025, implementations have been completed in several regions with a roadmap ending around 2028 and future transformation projects planned on other systems.
Main Responsibilities
The FPSO team is looking for a Financial Specialist who will be in charge of one or more of the following end-to-end process flows:
* Payment flow (including integration with other systems), cash income flows and bank statements
* Controlling
* Accounting, fixed assets and month-end closing
* Integration with Consolidation and Reporting
The Financial Specialist:
* Ensures LDC Group practices and processes related to commercial processes are followed
* Supports countries in their execution and guarantees efficiency in terms of tools, organization and processes
This role covers activities such as:
* Live countries support and small enhancements: enhance user experience, provide continuous improvement, be the core model keeper and supervise the delivery of changes, keep documentation up to date
* Small projects, called “Ad-Hoc”: launch and drive initiatives to improve BOLD
* BOLD implementations in new countries: act as a referent for CORE processes and data, balancing local needs with Group requirements
* Innovation: support initiatives connected with BOLD related to analytics, automation, and moving toward paperless processes
The Financial Specialist will work on BOLD implementation in new countries, specifically Brazil rollout (BORA Project), overseeing groups of Finance-related processes, and managing scope and deadlines.
This role requires close collaboration with business partners and other Program members such as PPSO (for procurement), EPSO (for execution), IPSO (for Industry), and with the DT&A departments.
Beyond Global Finance Transformation activities, the Financial Specialist will help the group transition to other transformation initiatives (e.g., Artificial Intelligence, Business Intelligence, blockchain) by applying functional expertise.
Experience
Experience
3/5 years of strong operational experience ideally.
The candidate should have several or more of the items below:
* Experience from a Finance Consulting or Technology Consulting firm
* Participation in Finance transformation projects (internal or external)
* Experience working in a project mode and ability to perform in various roles from individual contributor to leadership
* Experience in Finance Transformation projects
* Experience in companies dedicated to agriculture or the commodity business
* Experience in international environments
* Experience in process design and implementation in an IT tool
* Experience establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with other business organizations; able to work with diverse groups in problem-solving environments
* Experience and expertise on SAP S/4 for one or more FI submodules or processes
* Fundamental understanding of core accounting and finance processes
* Strong ability to gather and analyze information, define problems and plan actions
* Ability to analyze and challenge workflows, with analytical and synthetic thinking
* Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
* Ability to work independently and take ownership
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Ability to work under time pressure and be results oriented
Languages
Leading business school, Leading Engineer School, or University degree in Business Administration with a major in:
* Information System and/or
* Finance/Accounting and/or
* Process & organization management
