Job Description
We are seeking a seasoned data engineer to lead the design and implementation of scalable, high-performance data architectures on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). As a senior data engineer, you will be responsible for developing and optimizing Extract, Transform, Load/Extract, Load, Transform pipelines, ensuring data quality, integrity, and security throughout the entire data lifecycle.
Your key responsibilities will include:
* Designing and implementing data pipelines using GCP services such as BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, Pub/Sub, and Cloud Storage.
* Collaborating with data scientists, analysts, and software engineers to support advanced analytics and machine learning use cases.
* Developing and maintaining data models aligned with business needs.
* Automating ingestion, transformation, and data delivery processes.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will need to have proficiency in:
* BigQuery, Dataflow, Cloud Storage, and Pub/Sub.
* SQL, Oracle Database, and PostgreSQL.
* Orchestration using Cloud Composer (Airflow).
* CI/CD applied to data pipelines (Git, Terraform).
* Cloud cost and performance optimization.
* GCP certifications.
* Kubernetes (GKE) and APIs on GCP.
* Machine Learning pipelines (Vertex AI, AI Platform).
* Data Mesh and distributed architectures.
* Data Lake layers.
* Batch and streaming processing.
* Data modeling (relational, dimensional, and NoSQL).
