Department:Tournament and Venue OperationsLocation:BrazilDescriptionFIFA has established a Local FIFA Subsidiary in Brazil to work together with FIFA Zurich to deliver the biggest women's sporting event in the world, the FIFA Women's World Cup 2027 ("FWWC2027") that for the first time ever, is hosted in South America in Brazil. Now is your time to be part of the workforce that is creating this unique and unforgettable experience.Please submit your CV in English, as it will be reviewed by an international team.THE POSITIONThe Senior Manager Event Logistics ensures the most favorable conditions for the successful establishment & implementation of the Event Logistics project within the FIFA Women's World Cup 2027. The objective of the Event Logistics Project is the design and implementation of a robust supply chain which includes the infrastructure, to support the movement of goods between the host country venues, including stadiums, team base camps, training sites, the International Broadcast Centre, the Main Media Centre and other official sites.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESOverall responsibility for the management, coordination and leadership of the Logistics team and sub-projects:International freight forwarding, including the international movement as well as customs clearance of goods into and out of the host countryConception and implementation of simplified customs procedures together with the involved government authorities to ensure the smooth importation and exportation of goods for all tournament stakeholdersCentral warehousing, including asset tracking not only within the warehouse but across all venues in which there assets provided by LogisticsMaterial planning, including the gathering of Furniture, Fixture and Equipment (FFE) requirements from all functional areas, working with Procurement in sourcing these requirements and deliveryDomestic distribution of FFE, FIFA assets, uniforms and other commodities o Movements of team luggage and equipment to / from hotels, airports, stadiums and training sites and between host citiesManagingthe entry to venues of delivery and collection vehicles during the tournament period via the Master Delivery Schedule System (MDS)Providing Venue Logistics Services, including un- / loading services, determining the storage space requirements of Logistics and other functional areas, distribution of items inside the venues, providing of FFEWhere / if required development of IT solutions for Master Delivery Schedule (MDS), Material Planning tool, Venue Delivery Portal (VDP) and Logistics Customer Relationship Management tool (LCRM)Procurement and management of golf carts pool at venuesDevelopment of a dissolution strategy, in cooperation with the tournament management, legal, procurement and all item procuring functional areasEvaluation of the local logistics market and contracting a Logistics Service Provider (LSP) to provide warehousing, trucking, and people resources as requiredManage the established contracts (LSP, FFE- and golf carts provider) and ensure all project milestones, deadlines and KPIs are metProvide the Logistics Concept of Operations and other project integration management documentation such as Functional Area Operational Plan (FAOP) and Standard Operational Plan (SOP) as requiredAttend site / venue visits, workshops, logistics activities, meets and events in which an Event Logistics presence is required (e.g. Team Workshop, Broadcaster Meetings, Partnership Workshops)Creation and management of the Event Logistics budget in cooperation with FIFA Zurich Event LogisticsCreation and management of the Event Logistics project plan, management (including mitigation) and communication of risks and issues in cooperation with FIFA Zurich Event LogisticsRecruitment of the Logistics team and providing leadership to this teamPrepare and manage a health- and safety planPrepare and manage a sustainability and environmental plan related to the Event Logistics ProjectProvide timelines and accurate reporting to FIFA Zurich Event Logistics and Senior ManagementComplete the final reconciliation, close the contracts and transfer the knowledge post-tournamentsYOUR PROFILEMinimum of 15 years of experience in Major Event Logistics, etc.Knowledge of event logistics planning and event project management processesTeam player, willing to work to tight timelinesStrong analysis, reporting and data skillsAble to work in a fast-paced, multi-level, project-based event environment with emphasis on timelines and deliveryPositive attitude, patience, and persistenceProven track record in managing complex projects, preferably international sports eventsRight to work in BrazilFluent in English (spoken and written)Fluent in Portuguese (spoken and written)Ability to re-locate to Rio de Janeiro
