MCC Label (Multi‑Color Corporation), a global leader in premium label solutions, is hiring a Production Manager.
Location: Louveira, SP. Reporting to the site General Manager.
The Production Manager is responsible for overall site production operations. They create a work environment that promotes safety, quality and delivery, and effectively develop teams to achieve corporate improvement objectives. The role is accountable for plant production performance while ensuring objectives are attained cost‑effectively, driving best practices and leading process improvement.
Responsibilities
Direct and delegate coordination of activities to ensure safety, quality, delivery and cost meet specified targets.
Ensure compliance with behaviour‑based safety initiatives and continuously improve safety performance.
Execute quality control plans to meet standards and reduce variation within the process.
Assess on‑time delivery performance and develop actions to sustain high performance.
Manage cost by effectively controlling labor, overtime and expenditures.
Analyze production reports to determine root causes of variance from budget and develop corrective actions using structured root‑cause analysis, MDI and Policy Deployment methodologies.
Promote, prepare and participate in kaizen activities and sustain results.
Facilitate daily gemba walks, ensuring proper utilization of hour‑by‑hour, SQDC boards and war room.
Coordinate required staffing levels with Human Resource Manager and administer RTO daily and shift‑by‑shift.
Direct plant supervision to apply human‑resource policies, procedures and plant rules and ensure safety accountability.
Coach and mentor team members for ongoing development.
Stay abreast of new trends and developments in methods, techniques, equipment, tools, materials and supplies; research and recommend capital equipment purchases.
Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology or Business or equivalent, with at least 10 years of staff‑level leadership experience.
Minimum 7 years’ experience in Operations and/or Lean Management.
Printing industry experience preferred.
Experience acting as a change agent in complex transformational activities.
Significant experience implementing Lean principles in manufacturing operations.
Proficiency in structured problem‑solving methodologies to determine root causes and provide countermeasures.
Excellent communication skills.
Advanced Excel skills.
Fluent English.
Experience and expertise in industrial production of premium labels and packaging.
10 years of experience in human‑resources management and production management.
Technical knowledge on the job (ERP systems such as Totvs, SAP, etc.; intranet systems).
