Position Summary: Provide diagnostic quality radiologic imaging under physician supervision, following radiation safety standards, and delivering high-quality patient care in both inpatient and outpatient settings, including emergency, trauma, and ICU care.
Job Duties:
1. Produce diagnostic images and prepare them for radiologist interpretation.
2. Follow radiation protection standards using appropriate exposure, collimation, and distancing, ensuring safety for self and others.
3. Verify correct patient and exam details, and document all procedures accurately.
4. Manage supplies and equipment to meet departmental needs.
5. Maintain detailed documentation including exam details, radiologist, and patient information.
6. Coordinate daily workflow and exam scheduling within the team.
7. Ensure images are correctly transferred into PACS before completing the study.
8. Confirm completeness of physician orders and gather missing information as needed.
9. Report equipment issues and assist in training new staff and students.
10. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area.
Minimum Qualifications:
* Technical School Diploma, graduate of an accredited Radiography program, or equivalent.
* Less than 1 year of radiologic training completion.
* Ability to handle confidential information ethically.
* Problem-solving skills and understanding of radiation equipment use.
* Knowledge of medical terminology and technology.
* American Heart Association BLS certification - Pennsylvania.
* RT - Registered Technologist in Radiology, Pennsylvania, upon hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Associate’s Degree or graduate of a health science program.
Physical Demands: Ability to lift 25 lbs., frequent sitting/standing, keyboard use, and performing activities like kneeling, bending, squatting, and CPR as required for patient care roles.
