We're looking for an experienced JIRA Developer to help us administer and develop the system used by all Engineering teams in the organization, making it critical and very important for all. You'll work with senior managers to set up an agile development process within the new ticketing system and establish processes for our common source code system. You will then collaborate with all Engineering and Operations teams to demonstrate the new processes and systems, assisting in migrating their current workflows. Additionally, you'll work with various development teams, both locally and offshore, to implement automation that supports our development and testing teams. You will also define guidelines for future enhancements to ensure the systems continue to benefit our engineering teams.
The Atlassian Developer is responsible for administration, maintenance, upgrades, and enhancements to JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket, and integrations with other tools or plugins.
Responsibilities :
Administer JIRA (Core and Software), Confluence, and formulate technical solutions using JIRA and related plugins/Atlassian products.
Create JIRA projects, queries, and reports as needed.
Develop custom workflows, post functions, and validators.
Modify workflows, screens, fields, and reporting features.
Oversee system architecture and recommend improvements.
Migrate existing systems to the new central system.
Provide first-level support for system issues.
Define and maintain SLAs and processes, including server uptime and consistency.
Establish development guidelines for custom integrations or plugins and collaborate with development teams to follow them.
Review and approve new plugins or custom developments.
Define and socialize the system's enhancement roadmap with other teams.
Manage development of key system-wide customizations.
Mentor, guide, and train current Jira Administrators.
Train users in best practices.
Mandatory Skills :
BS degree in engineering with at least 5 years of experience in systems engineering, integration, and testing.
Minimum of 2 years experience with Jira, developing custom plugins, and integrations using Atlassian SDK.
Hands-on experience with JIRA Core or JIRA Software, Crowd, and Confluence.
At least 2 years working on Linux systems.
At least 2 years working with AWS.
Knowledge of both traditional and Agile software development methodologies.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
Nice-to-Have Skills :
Over 7 years in software engineering, including team leadership.
Experience with multiple Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) and related tools (Jira, Confluence).
Proficiency with git-based repositories like Bitbucket and GitHub.
Deep knowledge of AWS services and modules.
Certified Atlassian Data Center and Cloud products Administrator (Jira minimum).
Certified AWS Architect.
