Project Manager - Leadership Role
We're seeking an accomplished Project Manager to oversee delivery execution across intricate, cross-functional initiatives in a dynamic agile engineering environment. This role serves as the central point of contact between business, product, and engineering teams, translating priorities into actionable strategies and driving clarity throughout the organization.
This is a hands-on, client-facing position for someone who enjoys taking ownership, navigating uncertainty, and keeping teams aligned and moving forward. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders.
Main Responsibilities:
* Own end-to-end delivery of complex initiatives, from planning through execution and completion, ensuring timely and high-quality results
* Develop and manage comprehensive delivery plans, including scope, timelines, dependencies, risks, and resource allocation
* Partner closely with engineering teams to manage work intake, backlog grooming, prioritization, and task tracking, utilizing tools like Jira
* Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, providing clear updates and driving alignment across teams
* Identify and mitigate risks, resolve blockers, and adjust plans as priorities evolve, demonstrating adaptability and problem-solving skills
* Facilitate working sessions, stand-ups, planning meetings, and stakeholder workshops as needed, fostering collaboration and open communication
* Support prioritization decisions by providing delivery insights, trade-offs, and impact analysis, enabling informed decision-making
* Continuously improve delivery processes, tools, and ways of working to increase efficiency and predictability, contributing to a culture of innovation and excellence
* Track and report on delivery progress using appropriate metrics and tools, ensuring transparency and accountability
Requirements:
* 5+ years of experience leading delivery for complex projects or initiatives, with a proven track record of success
* Strong experience working in agile environments (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, or similar), with a deep understanding of iterative development methodologies
* Hands-on experience using Jira for backlog management and delivery tracking, with a focus on process improvement and optimization
* Proven ability to work effectively with engineering teams and business stakeholders, building strong relationships and facilitating collaborative efforts
* Excellent communication skills and comfort working in a client-facing role, with the ability to articulate complex concepts to diverse audiences
* Ability to operate in ambiguous environments and bring structure and clarity, with a solutions-oriented mindset
* Experience supporting prioritization, change management, and delivery trade-offs, with a focus on business outcomes and customer satisfaction
* Basic SQL skills and familiarity with finance or accounting concepts are a plus, but not required
