We are seeking an experienced and proactive Senior Business Controller / Finance professional with strong HR exposure to lead and oversee all employee-related activities within our local Finance and Accounting Operations in Brazil. This role is critical to ensuring the effective execution of FICO practices across the full company P&L and balance sheet, working closely with local teams and the global organization to align financial practices and procedures with broader business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Finance & Accounting
Financial Operations & Reporting: Oversee and manage all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
Lead the monthly accounting close process.
Ensure accurate financial reporting to senior management and global stakeholders.
Provide data for audits and support the management of internal control frameworks same as local mandatory audits.
Provide expertise and support for tax strategies and compliance, including ICMS, PIS/COFINS among others applicable in the operations.
Strategic Partnership & Analysis: Act as a strategic finance partner, driving financial performance and optimizing working capital.
Systems & Data Management: Utilize and manage ERP systems and Business Intelligence (BI) tools to build reports and manage data integrity and quality.
Support the setup of accounting systems and ERP processes for the Legal Entity, also managing outsourced vendor services.
Coordinate with international finance teams to maintain consistent practices and reporting standards across borders.
Manage and coordinate payroll processing in collaboration with external providers and internal stakeholders, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.
Oversee payroll accounting, reconciliations, and payroll-related postings to the general ledger.
Support financial reporting related to payroll, employee costs, provisions, and accruals.
Monitor and control workforce-related costs, supporting budgeting and forecasting activities.
Assist with balance sheet and P&L activities related to payroll, benefits, and employee liabilities.
HR Operations & Employee Services
Support core HR operational processes across the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, offboarding, and employee data management.
Administer employee compensation and benefits in coordination with payroll and finance activities.
Support employee relations processes, disciplinary documentation, and labour-law-related administration.
Act as a point of contact for employees and managers on HR operational and payroll-related queries.
Operational Excellence & Compliance
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across finance, payroll, and HR processes.
Ensure alignment with company policies, governance standards, and local legislation.
Support workforce reporting, metrics, and data analysis for decision-making.

Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; HR qualification or certification is an advantage.
Minimum of 10 years’ experience in finance and accounting roles, with exposure to payroll and HR operations.
Strong knowledge of Brazilian financial regulations, accounting principles, payroll processes, taxes, and social security requirements.
Working knowledge of Brazilian labour legislation and HR operational practices.
Experience with financial systems, payroll platforms, and HR information systems.
Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple priorities independently with a high level of accountability.
Excellent communication skills and experience supporting managers and international stakeholders.
