Description and Requirements
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Execution
* Lead, mentor, and coach a team of engineers, fostering a culture of craftsmanship, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
* Manage team workload, prioritize initiatives, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality software.
* Conduct performance reviews, identify growth opportunities, and support career development.
* Minimize roadblocks and maximize productivity, engagement, and fulfillment across the team.
Architecture & Technical Strategy
* Define and enforce architecture standards, secure coding practices, and CI/CD pipelines.
* Lead solution reviews and oversee implementation quality across Angular, Java, Spring Boot, C#, and Kafka-based systems.
* Drive cloud-native development on AWS (Azure experience is a plus), ensuring availability, resilience, and scalability.
* Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to align technical objectives with business goals.
Platform Development & Operations
* Oversee the development, testing, and deployment of orchestration services and device management capabilities.
* Ensure platform performance, reliability, and maintainability.
* Monitor system health, resolve issues, and implement preventative measures.
* Collaborate with operations teams for smooth delivery and support.
Cross-Team Collaboration
* Engage with peer managers and engineering leads across Lenovo's engineering organization.
* Ensure development efforts meet internal and external customer needs.
* Communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Required Skills & Experience
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
* 10+ years of software engineering experience, with 5+ years in engineering leadership roles.
* Proven experience delivering enterprise-grade applications using:
* Angular, Java, Spring Boot, C#
* Kafka for event-driven architecture
* AWS (Azure is a plus)
* Strong understanding of software architecture, secure coding, automated testing, and CI/CD.
* Experience with cloud-native development and microservices.
