This role seeks an accomplished AWS administrator to lead Kubernetes, focusing on Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS), with an exceptional blend of skills in cloud infrastructure and container orchestration.
Key Responsibilities:
* Thrive in core AWS services like EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, Route 53, EBS, and EFS. Gain mastery in how they integrate with EKS.
* Delve into AWS networking concepts, including VPCs, subnets, security groups, NACLs, and routing tables, and their application to Kubernetes clusters.
* Secure EKS clusters with expertise in AWS security best practices, IAM roles and policies.
* Script with Python or Bash for automating AWS tasks and managing infrastructure as code using CloudFormation or Terraform.
* Deepen knowledge of Kubernetes architecture: control plane components, worker node components, Docker, image building, registry management, container best practices, Pod, Deployment, Service, Ingress, ConfigMap, Secret.
* Demonstrate skill in deploying, managing, and scaling applications with Kubernetes objects.
* Network knowledge is essential: CNI plugins, Service networking, Ingress controllers, DNS resolution within the cluster.
* Persistent Volume, Persistent Volume Claim, Storage Class, especially with AWS integrations.
* Monitor and log Kubernetes solutions like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK stack, or AWS CloudWatch Container Insights.
* Troubleshoot EKS clusters and applications with excellent problem-solving skills.
* Package managers like Helm and Kustomize are valuable assets for deployment and configuration.
* Develop CI/CD pipelines integrating Kubernetes deployments.
