The team you will be a part of
The Procurement team identifies researches and evaluates suppliers that meet the organization's standards of price, quality, timing, and reliability of supply. Recognizes and evaluate sales, promotional campaigns, and other opportunities to secure reduced prices. Assesses supplier's products to ensure that they comply with specifications and meet the organization's quality standards.
This Role In Summary
The Global Strategic Sourcing (GSS) team is seeking a Direct Procurement Buyer to manage the Electronics commodity. This role involves the strategic management of local and international suppliers who provide electronic boards to Whirlpool. Key responsibilities include leading New Product Introduction (NPI) negotiations for new parts and executing the commodity's cost-take-out strategy.The position is available in São Paulo, Joinville, and Rio Claro. We are looking for a candidate who is a strategic thinker, possesses strong negotiation skills, and is committed to continuous improvement.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
Negotiate commercial terms such as price, payment terms, delivery time and schedule with suppliers mapped and technically approved.
Drive strategy in your space considering main KPIs (cost, quality, delivery, etc)
Prepare and manage RFQs through GS3 Quotation Portal
Negotiate clauses to sign Contracts with suppliers having support of Legal Team
Drive and implement cost reduction strategies
Make presentations to higher level leadership
Building strong relationships with key stakeholders within the corporate, suppliers and factory levels to execute sourcing strategies
Accountable for developing & executing a Category Sourcing Strategy plan with price target on the negotiations.
Define and execute strategies in close collaboration with SES, Planning & Materials (PCPM), and Direct Materials Procurement teams to ensure alignment with production and inventory needs.
Minimum Requirements
Complete Bachelor's Degree
Excellent English skills (both written and spoken).
Demonstrated analytical skills
Communication Skills to intermediate commercial discussions and mediate divergences
Experience in procurement, supply chain or business
Negotiation, conflict resolution and management skills
Cost management skills
Office/Google main tools knowledge
Preferred Skills And Experiences
Demonstrate practical use of supplier management and sourcing principles
Manage and prioritize multiple activities
Financial Management and forecasting
Self-driven approach towards deliveries and a good team player
SAP knowledge
Technical background
