Designing for Patient Care Innovation
This is a high-impact opportunity to influence product design, workflow logic, and mission from day one. As the founding Product Designer, you will have a foundational role in shaping the product from concept to prototype.
You'll work closely with the client's founding team to build an interactive prototype that sets the direction for future development. This involves collaborating directly with clinicians to understand their workflow, pain points, and goals.
Your Key Responsibilities:
* Translate early concepts and requirements into user flows, wireframes, and high-fidelity interactive prototypes.
* Lead founders through the end-to-end product design process — from research through prototyping.
* Iterate designs based on feedback from medical professionals and internal stakeholders.
* Build the design foundation for future product development, including design systems and component libraries.
* Communicate design rationale clearly to both non-technical founders and technical teams.
Requirements:
* 5+ years of experience in UX/UI or product design, with a strong portfolio of interactive web/mobile prototypes.
* Demonstrated ability to translate abstract or clinical problems into elegant design solutions.
* Proficiency with advanced prototyping tools (Figma, Adobe XD, Origami, etc).
* Excellent collaboration and communication skills, especially with non-technical stakeholders.
* Strong ownership mentality — you'll be the only designer and an early voice in product direction.
Bonus Points For:
* Having engineering experience developing SaaS applications.
* Having engineering/product leadership experience.
* Knowledge of design for communication tools or messaging apps.
* Experience working with healthcare-related platforms.
* Experience working with early-stage startups.
* Familiarity with US-based HIPAA regulations and health tech security standards.
Why This Role Is Unique:
* You're joining at the ground floor—helping shape the core product experience.
* You'll have direct influence over user experience and product decisions.
* Work closely with real users (doctors) to solve meaningful problems in patient care.
