Patent Project Coordinator Role
This position plays a crucial role in the coordination and management of patent filings, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery to clients.
The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational and leadership abilities, with experience working with EP, PCT, and foreign applications. A collaborative approach, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record of successful project management are essential for this role.
We are seeking an experienced Patent Paralegal Project Manager who can effectively coordinate various aspects of patent filings, including budgeting, scheduling, docketing, document submission, and quality assurance.
Responsibilities:
* Preparation of Patent Documents: Prepare all necessary documents required for EP, PCT, and foreign applications.
* Communication and Response: Initiate proactive preparation of responses to official communications and notifications.
* Filing and Coordination: Coordinate the filing of EP/international and foreign patent applications and related correspondence from filing to issuance of grant.
* Project Monitoring: Monitor assigned cases and ensure timely completion of all related deadlines.
Requirements:
* Experience: 1-2 years as a patent paralegal in a law firm or corporate setting.
* Application Experience: Experience working with EP, PCT, and foreign applications.
* Organizational Skills: Strong organizational, leadership, and management abilities.
* Complex Project Management: Significant experience managing complex projects.
* Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Collaboration: Successful track record of collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* Translation Tools: Strong experience implementing translation tools into existing workflows.
* CAT Tools: Comfort working with CAT tools (memoQ fluency a plus) and various Machine Translation engines.
* Process Definition: Ability to define processes and standards for translation and quality assurance.
* User Training: Skilled at training internal and external users in MTPE & TM workflows.
* Vendor Recruitment: Skilled at vendor recruitment and negotiations.
