Role Objective
Perform activities within the Quality department. Audit the control and execution of manufacturing activities, following corporate policies and Kidde Global Solutions Excellence guidelines to develop quality certificates and product warranties.
Detailed Description
Support the production structure with a focus on processes and product quality development.
Analyze Quality Indicators (COPQ, FPY, CE, SPPM, 5S/6S, and 8D Status), leading continuous improvement processes.
Assist in the approval process for national and international supplier development regarding the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP).
Ensure the maintenance of product certifications (INMETRO) and ISO 9001 standards.
Support the update process for Quality and Engineering documents, Quality Manuals, Procedures, and Work Instructions (e.g., control plans and drawings) derived from Carrier Excellence actions (Root Cause Analysis, Mistake Proofing, and Lessons Learned).
Monitor the execution of action plans generated by NPS (Net Promoter Score) processes for the quality pillar.
Support the calibration process for measuring instruments and devices.
Perform in-process and incoming inspections.
Conduct laboratory tests to evaluate: extinguishing agents, cylinder paint resistance, tensile testing on fire hose specimens, and hydraulic/mechanical resistance of fire hoses.
Issue product quality certificates based on results and regulatory requirements.
Audit the Product Warranty process.
Generate inbound and outbound orders for warranty products within the ERP system.
Requirements
Education:
High School Diploma or Technical Degree in Quality, Chemistry, Administration, or related fields.
Desired: Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Administration, Engineering, or Quality.
Experience:
2 years of experience in Quality, Chemistry, Engineering, or related areas (e.g., Process Engineering).
Courses and Certifications:
Desired: Courses in continuous improvement, such as Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma (White or Yellow Belt).
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word).
Knowledge of ERP systems (JD Edwards preferred).
Desired: Knowledge of design software (AutoCAD).
