We are seeking a hands-on Jira Administrator and GitHub Enterprise Administrator to support backend platform administration, integrations, workflow automation, and an Azure DevOps to GitHub Enterprise migration. This role will maintain and optimize Jira and GitHub Enterprise while supporting engineering, DevOps, security, and business teams.
The ideal candidate has strong experience with Jira administration, GitHub Enterprise, automation, workflow design, integrations, and enterprise software delivery processes.
Jira Administration Responsibilities
* Administer and maintain Jira projects, workflows, permissions, schemes, screens, fields, boards, dashboards, and automation rules.
* Design and optimize Jira workflows to support engineering, DevOps, security, compliance, and business teams.
* Build and maintain Jira automation rules for issue routing, approvals, notifications, status transitions, and operational processes.
* Manage Jira integrations with GitHub, Azure DevOps, Slack, Microsoft Teams, Confluence, CI/CD platforms, and reporting systems.
* Support backend configuration, system cleanup, permission reviews, workflow standardization, and process improvements.
* Troubleshoot Jira issues related to workflows, automation, permissions, integrations, and reporting.
* Partner with internal teams to improve visibility, reporting, and operational efficiency through Jira dashboards and structured workflows.
GitHub Enterprise Administration Responsibilities
* Administer GitHub Enterprise organizations, repositories, teams, permissions, branch protections, policies, runners, secrets, and security settings.
* Support Azure DevOps to GitHub Enterprise migration activities including repository migration, pipeline review, permissions mapping, and process alignment.
* Configure and maintain GitHub workflows, GitHub Actions, automation tasks, agents, runners, and integrations.
* Support GitHub Enterprise integrations with Jira, Azure DevOps, CI/CD tools, security platforms, identity providers, and cloud services.
* Assist teams with repository governance, access control, pull request standards, branch strategy, and release workflows.
* Troubleshoot GitHub Enterprise issues related to workflows, runners, permissions, integrations, and automation.
* Help define best practices for GitHub Enterprise usage across engineering and DevOps teams.
Required Qualifications
* Strong experience administering Jira in an enterprise environment.
* Strong experience administering GitHub Enterprise.
* Hands-on experience with Jira workflows, automation, permissions, schemes, dashboards, and integrations.
* Experience with GitHub Actions, runners, branch protections, repository permissions, and enterprise governance.
* Experience supporting or leading Azure DevOps to GitHub Enterprise migrations.
* Strong understanding of DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, source control, release workflows, and software delivery processes.
* Experience integrating Jira and GitHub with enterprise tools.
* Ability to troubleshoot backend platform issues across Jira, GitHub, identity, permissions, and automation layers.
* Strong communication skills with the ability to work with engineering, security, operations, and leadership teams.
