Overview
This role is based in Brazil with coverage of the Americas, Europe & Sub-Saharan Africa.
The successful candidate will bring a background in forensic investigations (including interviewing and digital review) with experience in anti-fraud, bribery and corruption risks, financial crime, supply chain risk, cultural risks, whistleblowing, control environments and investigation records management.
The Investigations function sits within WPP's business integrity framework and focuses on identifying, corroborating and remediating risk and compliance concerns to support ethical standards as set out in the WPP Code of Business Conduct.
The investigations team works to champion compliance with applicable laws and regulations across geographies and markets and to support a culture of integrity.
What you'll be doing
Investigate whistleblowing reports generated in respect of Americas, Europe & Sub-Saharan Africa
Investigate breaches of the WPP Code of Business Conduct and other ethical codes in the region
Investigate breaches of external laws, regulations and codes applicable to agencies in the region
Support the Investigations Senior Counsel in ensuring issues are thoroughly and promptly investigated and remediated
Report areas of concern and root causes; contribute findings to reporting, remediation and the business integrity programme (including training materials) as necessary
Collaborate with other WPP and regional departments to pursue the objectives of the role
What you'll need
Significant forensic investigative experience, preferably with experience in financial crime, with ingenuity and persistence to obtain information when not readily available
Demonstrated ability to interview senior subject-matter experts
Experience in using e-discovery systems and creating targeted digital review structures to analyse large data volumes
Ability to leverage advanced AI and machine learning tools for efficient and accurate analysis of digital evidence
Strong written and verbal presentation skills to deliver investigation results in a commercial environment
Experience working with whistle-blowers and sources to obtain information appropriately
Problem-solver who can identify and solve issues without a predetermined programme
Knowledge of chain of evidence procedures and confidentiality of sensitive material
Ability to manage and prioritise a large and varied case load effectively
Highly proficient English; proficient Spanish and/or Portuguese preferred; other language skills beneficial
Professional background with ACA or equivalent or legal qualification beneficial
