Key Responsibilities

* Conduct thorough assessments of the situation in the Area of Responsibility (AoR) to collect data and relevant information for UNHCR, reporting directly to the supervisor.
* Monitor the implementation of UNHCR's programme, ensuring the timely delivery of assistance items and maintaining accurate records of infrastructure.
Task Requirements
* Regularly visit various sites to assess the needs of persons of concern, particularly vulnerable groups, and identify gaps and duplications in assistance provided.
* Determine emerging assistance needs by assessing, verifying, and mapping existing requirements.
Liaison and Collaboration
* Maintain regular contact with local authorities and implementing partners as requested by the supervisor.
* Cultivate relationships with counterparts at the local authority level, NGOs, UN agencies, and members of displaced and host communities to foster a collaborative environment.
Capacity Building and Community Engagement
* Develop and implement training programmes for community mobilization, empowerment, and participation of persons of concern.
* Promote capacity building initiatives focused on GBV Prevention and Response among partners, local government officials, site managers, and community members.
Additional Responsibilities
* Support communities in establishing representation and coordination structures.
* Ensure strategies are developed to support and strengthen CCCM responses within local capacities, context-specific strengths, and national response capabilities.
Work Environment
The Field Associate will be working in an office setting with occasional field visits to various sites. The work environment may be challenging due to the nature of the job and the location.
