This is a fully remote position working East Coast hours. The role requires strong technical skills and the ability to work effectively with global teams.
Key Responsibilities:
* Liaise between IT and business stakeholders to support complex application needs
* Provide technical direction and guidance for various application and infrastructure activities
* Develop strategic relationships with business units to ensure client satisfaction with IT design and business systems
Technical Skills:
* Bachelor's degree in a related discipline or equivalent work experience required
* 5+ years of production support experience required, experience in securities or financial services industry is a plus
* Programming/scripting skills in Java, Python, C++, Django, etc.
* Experience with App/Networking Monitoring Tools (Splunk, Appdynamics, Prometheus, etc.)
* Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with global teams
Benefits:
* Advanced proficiency in DevOps, Agile, and Lean is a plus
* Business knowledge of securities, fund accounting, collateral, and tri-party repo preferred but not required
* Experience in platform engineering, cloud, virtual, MQ, database, network, and ITIL service management is preferred
Day-to-Day Activities:
The Sr. Application Support individual will participate in architectural discussions, evaluate proposed solutions, and provide technical analysis and recommendations as needed. They will also act as a key liaison across all functional areas, including business units, IT department, and outside vendors.
The successful candidate will possess a broad knowledge of technical skills, use them to effectively coordinate team members with supported businesses, and facilitate decision-making and arbitration relating to trade-offs within and between different solutions.
