Job Description
We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a Calypso Accounting Specialist. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for supporting and additional build out for a greenfield Calypso instance.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
* Establishing a comprehensive and integrated approach to defining, setting up, or trouble shooting issues arising from day-to-day activities on the greenfield Calypso instance.
* Developing necessary solutions to Back Office (BO) / Accounting / Operations / Finance requirements.
* Creating and delivering assigned projects / tasks and revising as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
* Managing and establishing methodology and best practice for BO / Accounting / Operations / Finance requirements.
* Ensuring supporting documents are complete, current, and appropriately stored.
* Working closely with relevant business and technology stakeholders to ensure effective and efficient implementation of the project(s).
You may also act as a business analyst to help the team gather and write requirements, acceptance criteria.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* 2+ years of experience working in Capital Markets and on Calypso.
* Strong knowledge of accounting principles.
* Deep knowledge of Financial products cross assets.
* A proven track record of delivery of accounting and finance related solutions (settings) within Calypso.
* Experience of adherence to governance frameworks / implementation and handover to BAU.
* Proven experience in the development of BO/Accounting/Finance related solutions within Calypso and wider client business processes.
* Comprehensive knowledge of trade flow, trading systems and related concepts and technology, including valuation and client/market risk management.
* Excellent analytical skills, understanding of project life cycles, and ability to act in an entrepreneurial manner to ensure the requirements from the business are gathered in the appropriate manner.
* Proven analytical, planning, problem solving and decision-making skills.
* Comfortable with direct communication with all levels of technical and business resources.
* Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
* Experience with working in a highly collaborative and dynamic multi-team environment.
* Spanish speak/write (MUST)
