The Night Shift Patient Observation role is an essential part of our healthcare team, requiring a compassionate and vigilant individual to ensure the safety and well-being of patients.

* This position involves continuous observation or constant roving to identify and report patient safety issues, communicate with patients to deescalate tense situations, and document observations in the patient's electronic medical record.
* Additionally, the Patient Observation Assistant will participate in hand-off of pertinent information about assigned patients, assist with patient wheelchair rides and ambulation, and respond rapidly and thoroughly to emergencies and special needs.
The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, be able to walk or stand for prolonged periods, and possess knowledge of department policies and procedures.
American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification and Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED are required within 30 days of hire.
This role requires a high level of attention to detail, excellent observational skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
