We are looking for a Support Engineer with a development background to help maintain, troubleshoot, and customize our CMS platforms and related systems.
This role sits at the intersection of technical support, system administration, and light development. You will focus on resolving technical issues, customizing existing functionality, supporting integrations, and helping internal teams and clients get the most out of the platform.
The ideal candidate enjoys investigating problems, working closely with users, and improving systems through configuration and small code changes. You should be comfortable reading and modifying code, analyzing database issues, and collaborating with different teams to deliver practical solutions.
Responsibilities
* Provide tier 2/3 technical support for CMS-related issues and system integrations.
* Investigate and troubleshoot technical problems reported by internal teams or clients.
* Customize and configure CMS modules, workflows, and templates based on requirements.
* Support data migrations and data integrity, including church data in Rock RMS.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to understand issues and propose technical solutions.
* Maintain and optimize SQL queries and database structures when needed.
* Assist with integrations between systems using REST APIs.
* Write and maintain code changes in Liquid scripting language.
* Document solutions, processes, and recurring issues to improve internal knowledge sharing.
* Contribute to improving system reliability and support workflows.
Technology Requirements
* 2+ years of experience working with JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
* Experience with C# Development.
* SQL knowledge including querying, debugging, and data manipulation.
* Experience working with CMS platforms such as Rock RMS, WordPress, Drupal, Sitecore, or similar.
* Experience troubleshooting system issues and working with REST APIs.
* Familiarity with Git or other version control systems.
* Experience with workflow automation or templating engines (Lava/Liquid) is a plus.
* Experience with Rock RMS Block development is a plus.
