indie is empowering the automotive revolution with next-generation automotive semiconductors and software platforms. We focus on edge sensors spanning multiple modalities including LiDAR, radar, ultrasound, and vision for ADAS, autonomous vehicles, connected cars, user experience, and electrification.
As a Digital Design Engineer, you will be part of a small, talented team responsible for designing, implementing, and verifying SoCs that power ADAS.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead register bank generation flows based on AMBA interfaces for custom IP integration.
* Collaborate with System Architecture teams to define digital implementations at IP and chip levels.
* Develop and document RTL to implement digital IP per specifications.
* Create and maintain SoC integration plans for digital IP blocks.
* Define block-level test plans and develop testbenches for initial functionality checks.
* Support RTL and gate-level verification: debug failures, manage bugs, analyze coverage.
* Work with firmware engineers to integrate digital IP at system level.
* Support silicon bring-up and IP debugging with validation and test teams.
* Lead design reviews ensuring compliance with quality and flow processes.
* Contribute to activities related to Functional Safety.
Required Qualifications
* Open to all experience levels.
* Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
* 10+ years in custom IC design with strong digital expertise.
* Deep understanding of ASIC front-end flows: simulation, synthesis, STA, lint, equivalence checking.
* Proficiency in Verilog for digital design.
* Experience with scripting languages like Python for automation.
* Familiarity with version control, release management, CI, and unit testing.
* Ability to debug complex design issues and develop solutions.
* Basic knowledge of lab instrumentation or ability to learn hardware tools quickly.
* Excellent communication skills in Spanish and English, with cross-team collaboration ability.
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience with Hardware Security Modules or Root of Trust architectures.
* Understanding of DSP concepts like filtering, modulation, FFT.
