This role involves approximately 75% mechanical design execution and 25% leadership of a team of 9+ engineers. Travel requirements are minimal.Rotoflow is a full-service turbomachinery OEM - providing a wide-range of new equipment solutions and aftermarket services to our customers globally. For over 75 years, Rotoflow has designed and manufactured both standard and custom-engineered cryogenic and warm gas centrifugal turbomachinery used in market segments such as industrial gases, petrochemicals, and hydrocarbons. Products include compressor loaded turbo-expanders, generator-loaded power recovery expanders, and low-cost dissipative expanders. Advanced degrees with a focus on turbomachinery design, rotordynamics, fluid film bearings, design for manufacturability, and/or manufacturing processes are a plus.ExperienceMinimum 10+ years in turbomachinery or rotating machinery design.5+ years of experience leading mechanical engineers in a design role is a plus.Technical ProficiencyFamiliarity with 2D CAD and 3D modeling and simulation tools.Advanced capabilities in Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and rotordynamic analysis are a plus.Experience with bearing technologies including fluid film, gas, magnetic, hydrostatic, and rolling element bearings are a plus.Exposure to equipment start-up and plant integration is a plus.Experience in turbine testing, data acquisition, and evaluation is a plus.Programming skills in VB, C#, C++, Python, Matlab, Fortran, or similar languages are a plus.Working ConditionsFull-time, on-site (5 days per week) role at Bethlehem, PA headquarters which has offices, manufacturing floor, and testing lab on site.Minimal travel required: less than 10%, domestic, typically to trade shows and conferences.Join Air Products, where we proudly value the skills, dedication, and leadership that Veterans bring to the table.
