Machine Learning Engineering Manager Job Description
This role oversees the development and implementation of machine learning models, ensuring they meet business objectives.
* Leadership: Lead cross-functional teams to advance ML engineering capabilities.
* Project Management: Manage end-to-end ML/LLM project lifecycle: data pipelines, training, evaluation, deployment, and monitoring.
* Technical Direction: Provide technical guidance on distributed training, large-scale model optimization, and system architecture.
* Collaboration: Work with Research, Product, and Infrastructure teams to define objectives, milestones, and KPIs.
* MLOps Practices: Implement experiment tracking, CI/CD, model governance, observability, and security standards.
* Resource Management: Manage compute resources and ensure Responsible AI + data security compliance.
* Communication: Report technical progress, blockers, and results clearly to stakeholders.
