Technical Support Specialist
This is a fully remote position working East Coast hours. The base monthly salary range is 16k - 20k real/month.
Key Responsibilities:
* Liaise between IT and business stakeholders to support complex application needs.
* Provide technical direction and guidance for various application and infrastructure activities.
* Develop strategic stakeholder relationships within business units to ensure client satisfaction.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in a related discipline or equivalent work experience.
* 5+ years of related production support experience, with experience in the securities or financial services industry preferred.
* Programming/scripting skills in Java, Python, C++, Django, etc., with ability to learn.
* Experience in various App/Networking Monitoring Tools (Splunk, Appdynamics, Prometheus, etc.).
* Strong interpersonal skills and proven ability to work with global teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Advanced proficiency in DevOps, Agile, & Lean.
* Business knowledge of Securities, Fund Accounting, Collateral, and Tri-Party Repo.
* Experience in Platform Engineering, Cloud, Virtual, MQ, Database, Network, ITIL, Service Management.
Day-to-Day Activities:
The Sr. Application Support specialist works closely with IT and business stakeholders to ensure the smooth operation of complex applications. Key deliverables include participating in architectural discussions, evaluating proposed solutions, performing technical analysis, and preparing recommendations as needed.
Additionally, this role involves acting as the key liaison across functional areas, including business units, the information technology department, and outside vendors. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and incident management skills are essential.
The ideal candidate will be a self-starter and self-motivated individual who can prioritize tasks accordingly depending on demands from businesses and app/dev teams.
